Storexio Cookie Policy
Effective Date: 20/04/2026
Last Updated: 20/04/2026
This Cookie Policy (“Policy”) explains how Storexio uses cookies and similar technologies in connection with its website, platform, applications, merchant dashboard, storefront tools, and related digital services (collectively, the “Services”).
Storexio is an application operated by Mehdi Ghazlavi Electronic L.L.C., registered in the United Arab Emirates under registration / licence number 1592588 (“Company”, “Storexio”, “we”, “us”, or “our”).
This Policy should be read together with the Storexio Privacy Policy, Terms & Conditions, and any other applicable legal notice or agreement.
By continuing to access or use the Services, you acknowledge that cookies and similar technologies may be used as described in this Policy, subject to any preferences or controls made available to you and subject to applicable law.
1. Purpose of this Policy
The purpose of this Policy is to explain:
- what cookies and similar technologies are;
- what types of cookies Storexio may use;
- why we use them;
- how long they may remain active;
- what choices you may have regarding cookies; and
- how this Policy fits within applicable privacy and data-protection obligations.
ADGM’s own Cookie Policy expressly states that it sets out how and why personal data is handled through the use of cookies and that it should be read alongside the relevant Privacy Policy, which supports this same structure for Storexio. ([ADGM][1])
2. Applicable Legal Framework
Storexio intends to operate in accordance with applicable laws of the United Arab Emirates relating to privacy, digital commerce, and electronic transactions.
UAE official guidance identifies the federal personal-data framework as the principal national regime and separately notes that DIFC and ADGM maintain distinct privacy regimes. Accordingly, if Storexio, a Merchant, or any relevant processing activity is established in, carried out from, or otherwise subject to the rules of DIFC or ADGM, additional or different requirements may apply to the use of cookies, consent mechanisms, notices, and personal-data processing practices. ([ADGM][2])
3. What Are Cookies
Cookies are small text files or similar data files placed on a browser, device, or application environment when a user visits or interacts with a website, platform, or online service.
Cookies and similar technologies may be used to:
- remember user preferences;
- maintain session state;
- support authentication;
- recognize devices or browsers;
- improve performance and functionality;
- understand usage patterns;
- measure the effectiveness of content or communications;
- support security and fraud-prevention controls.
DIFC public materials describe a cookie as a small text file unique to the web browser on a computer or mobile device and state that cookies are used to retain user preferences and enhance browsing experience. ADGM’s public Cookie Policy likewise explains that it handles personal data through the use of cookies. ([Innovation Hub][3])
4. What Technologies We May Use
Storexio may use one or more of the following technologies:
- browser cookies;
- session cookies;
- persistent cookies;
- local storage;
- pixels or tags;
- SDK-based tracking tools in applications;
- server-side identifiers;
- log-based identifiers;
- similar technologies that perform comparable functions.
Where this Policy refers to “cookies,” that term should be understood to include similar technologies unless the context requires otherwise.
5. Categories of Cookies We May Use
Storexio may use the following categories of cookies and similar technologies.
5.1 Strictly Necessary Cookies
These cookies are essential to the operation of the Services and may be used to:
- enable login and authentication;
- maintain secure sessions;
- remember privacy or cookie choices;
- support load balancing or core service routing;
- prevent fraud or abuse;
- provide basic platform functionality.
Without these cookies, certain parts of the Services may not function properly.
5.2 Functional Cookies
These cookies help remember preferences and improve the user experience, including:
- language settings;
- user interface preferences;
- region or localization settings;
- saved choices in forms or workflows;
- merchant dashboard preferences.
5.3 Performance and Analytics Cookies
These cookies help us understand how users interact with the Services, such as:
- which pages are visited;
- how features are used;
- how long users stay on a page;
- which workflows encounter errors;
- how to improve navigation, design, speed, and reliability.
These cookies may collect aggregated or pseudonymized information where possible, but in some cases they may still involve personal data under applicable law.
5.4 Security Cookies
These cookies or similar mechanisms may be used to:
- detect suspicious activity;
- help protect accounts from unauthorized access;
- identify repeated failed login attempts;
- support bot detection;
- preserve platform integrity.
5.5 Advertising or Marketing Cookies
Where Storexio uses advertising, remarketing, campaign measurement, or similar promotional tools, cookies may be used to:
- understand campaign effectiveness;
- limit repeated display of promotions;
- measure conversions;
- attribute visits to marketing sources;
- support audience segmentation or related promotional functions.
Where required by applicable law, Storexio should obtain the appropriate level of consent before using non-essential advertising or marketing cookies.
ADGM’s public materials and DIFC public-facing cookie notices both show that cookies are used for user experience and site-usage tracking, which supports distinguishing essential and non-essential functions in a policy like this. ([ADGM][1])
6. First-Party and Third-Party Cookies
Cookies used through the Services may be:
First-party cookies, which are set directly by Storexio;
Third-party cookies, which are set by external providers whose tools or content are integrated into the Services, such as analytics providers, communication tools, embedded content providers, payment-related tools, or advertising partners.
Storexio does not control all third-party technologies once enabled, and third-party providers may process information according to their own terms and privacy notices. Where third-party tools are enabled, users and Merchants should also review the relevant third-party documentation.
7. Session Cookies and Persistent Cookies
Storexio may use:
Session cookies, which generally expire when you close your browser or end the session;
Persistent cookies, which remain on your device for a defined period or until deleted, and may be used to remember preferences or support recurring recognition of a device or browser.
8. Why We Use Cookies
Storexio may use cookies and similar technologies for one or more of the following purposes:
- to provide and operate the Services;
- to authenticate users and maintain secure sessions;
- to remember account settings and interface preferences;
- to improve performance and troubleshoot errors;
- to understand user interaction with the Services;
- to prevent fraud, abuse, and malicious activity;
- to support analytics and reporting;
- to measure the effectiveness of content, features, or campaigns;
- to improve the design, usability, and security of the Services;
- to comply with legal, risk-management, and operational requirements.
ADGM’s Cookie Policy expressly states that it explains how and why personal data is handled through cookies, and DIFC’s public cookie notices state that cookies are used to track overall site usage and provide a better user experience. ([ADGM][1])
9. Legal Basis for Cookie-Related Processing
To the extent cookie-related data constitutes Personal Data under applicable law, Storexio may process it on one or more lawful grounds, including:
- where the cookie is strictly necessary to provide the requested service;
- where processing is necessary for legitimate operational, security, or service-improvement purposes, to the extent permitted by law;
- where consent is obtained, if consent is required for the relevant category of cookie;
- any other lawful basis recognized under applicable law.
Because UAE official guidance notes separate privacy regimes in DIFC and ADGM, the required standard for consent, notice, or user choice may differ depending on which framework applies to the relevant processing activity. ([ADGM][2])
10. Cookies and Merchant Stores
Where Storexio enables Merchants to operate storefronts, landing pages, order forms, or customer-facing flows, cookies may also be used in connection with those Merchant-facing environments.
In such cases:
- some cookies may be deployed by Storexio to support the operation of the hosted platform;
- some cookies may be configured or introduced by the Merchant through content, integrations, widgets, or tracking tools enabled by the Merchant; and
- the Merchant may have independent obligations to disclose its own use of cookies and other tracking technologies to its customers.
Where the Merchant acts as Controller of customer data collected through a Storexio-powered store, the Merchant remains responsible for ensuring that any cookies or tracking tools it activates are lawful and properly disclosed.
11. Cookies and Personal Data
Certain cookies and similar technologies may collect or generate information that qualifies as Personal Data, including where data can be linked, directly or indirectly, to an identifiable person or device.
Depending on the circumstances, information associated with cookies may include:
- IP address;
- device or browser identifiers;
- session identifiers;
- login status;
- page interaction data;
- timestamps;
- approximate location derived from technical data;
- language or region settings;
- account-linked preferences.
Where such information is treated as Personal Data, it will be handled in accordance with this Policy, the Privacy Policy, and applicable law.
ADGM’s public Cookie Policy explicitly states that it sets out how and why personal data is handled through cookies. ([ADGM][1])
12. Third-Party Analytics and Similar Tools
Storexio may use third-party analytics, performance, or user-experience tools to help us understand usage patterns and improve the Services.
Where such tools are used:
- they may place cookies or use similar technologies;
- they may process technical or usage information on our behalf or for their own purposes depending on the service arrangement;
- they may be located in jurisdictions outside the UAE.
Where such processing involves personal data and cross-border transfers, Storexio will seek to use lawful safeguards as required by the applicable legal regime.
ADGM officially maintains guidance on cross-border transfer mechanisms and adequate jurisdictions, and UAE official guidance notes the separate privacy frameworks applicable in ADGM and DIFC. ([ADGM][4])
13. Managing Cookie Preferences
You may be able to control or manage cookies in several ways, including:
- through cookie preference tools or banners made available by Storexio;
- through your browser settings;
- through device settings;
- by clearing stored cookies and local storage;
- by using privacy settings or browser extensions;
- by disabling certain third-party tools where available.
Please note that disabling or blocking some cookies may affect functionality, security, performance, login persistence, or user experience.
DIFC public-facing cookie notices show examples of cookie preference controls using accept/reject choices, and ADGM’s Cookie Policy explains that users can disable cookies if they choose to do so. ([DIFC Academy][5])
14. Browser Controls
Most browsers allow users to:
- view stored cookies;
- block all cookies or selected categories of cookies;
- delete existing cookies;
- configure browser behavior for future cookies;
- receive alerts when cookies are set.
Because browser controls differ by browser and version, you should refer to the relevant browser support materials for detailed instructions.
15. Do Not Track and Similar Signals
Some browsers or devices may offer “Do Not Track” or similar privacy signals. Because there is no single uniform standard governing all such signals across all jurisdictions and technologies, Storexio may not respond to every such signal in a consistent manner unless specifically stated in the Services.
Where legally required, Storexio will apply any mandatory handling rules that apply to such signals under the relevant legal framework.
16. Retention of Cookie Data
Different cookies may remain active for different periods depending on their function.
- session cookies generally expire at the end of the browsing session;
- persistent cookies remain for a defined period or until deleted;
- some server-side or analytics-related identifiers may be retained in logs or reporting systems for longer periods in line with operational, security, legal, and retention requirements.
Storexio may revise cookie durations from time to time for technical, legal, or operational reasons.
17. Security and Integrity Uses
Storexio may use cookies and similar technologies as part of its broader security framework, including to:
- authenticate users;
- maintain session integrity;
- reduce fraudulent access attempts;
- identify unusual technical behavior;
- support investigation of platform misuse.
ADGM guidance emphasizes that data-protection compliance includes implementing appropriate policies and technical and organizational measures, and its Office of Data Protection publishes broader compliance guidance for organizations. ([ADGM][6])
18. International Transfers
Where cookie-related data constitutes Personal Data and is transferred outside the UAE or outside a relevant free-zone jurisdiction, such transfer may be subject to applicable cross-border transfer rules.
UAE official guidance states that DIFC and ADGM each maintain separate data-protection regimes, and ADGM officially publishes a framework for adequate jurisdictions and transfer-related guidance. Where required, Storexio will seek to apply an appropriate lawful transfer mechanism. ([ADGM][2])
19. Children
The Services are intended for business and commercial use and are not directed to children. Storexio does not knowingly use cookies to profile children in a manner requiring special legal protections under applicable law.
If you believe that a child has interacted with the Services inappropriately, please contact us.
20. Changes to this Policy
Storexio may amend this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in law, regulation, platform design, cookie practices, service providers, or business operations.
When we make updates, we will revise the “Last Updated” date above. Where appropriate, we may provide additional notice through the Services or by other suitable means.
